Day 17

So as I mentioned I have decided to experiment some with this diet and see how it affects me. I did pretty good yesterday food wise however I did have some chocolate which also has a negative impact on me. I am back on the VCLD today and hope to see a 189 by the end of this round. More would be nice however I will take what I can get. I am off from work today so I am going to work on a research paper and then we are going to the pumping patch after school today.

Day 16-

So yesterday was an odd day. i did good at lunch and then blew it big time at dinner however I have a new game plan I around from another blog(not sure which one). On this blog the person would her normal loading and then do a week of VCLD however after 7 days on VCLD she noticed a stall so what she would do is stop the drops for 2 days and then eat normal. then on the 3rd day she would do VCLD for 7 more days. She did this thru out the entire round and found that she lost more and did better on the VCLD when she could splurge through out the week. Therfore I am going to try this for the rest of my round which is not long but i want to see if it helps. so last night I did not have my drops and had wing stop. VEry bad but so yummy. This morning i was the same weight. Today I had mcds for breakfast, no lunch as i was super busy and then we had barbecue for dinner. Adain no drops. I also did not get my water but I did ahem soda. Tomorrow i will weigh and then back on the VLCD for 4-5 days depending on my drops left then no drops for another 26 days and then back on for round 3. If this works I will do it this way next time.

We all have to do what we can to get the weight down and we all no stalls can because your body needs a break. Well with this diet my brain needs a break. LOL

Day 15

I can't update my ticker yet because the website is acting funny however I finally got over the 194 nightmare that I had been living. I am 1 oz away from 10 pounds from my starting goal. I am still hoping for several more pounds but I am happy with what I have lost because I have been dealing with a lot thus round. Definitely think the next round will be easier because I will not be so stressed with school.

Day 14

So i did my modified apple day yesterday however i had two things that may have played into the fact that I did not lose as much as I was hoping and praying for. First I spent 2 hours cleaning, while we are not suppose to do exercise I have found that cleaning for several hours can have a bad affect on me. The second is that I did not eat dinner till almost 10 pm last night. Plus I did not have the drops until that late also. Today I am going to work on eating normal and then try an apple day on Thursday.

On the plus side today was my measurements and I am happy to see those numbers moving.

Day 13

Ugh I am so pissed. I am up and i am not sure why I am up. I did have a hard time getting my protein in however I did eat pretty well yesterday and was even able to find a sugar free spaghetti sauce which is super yummy. Today may be a modified apple day where I have apples for lunch and then for dinner eat some miracle noodles with the sauce. I did this last time and it was super helpful to getting the weight down. Also need to work on getting my water back up. Since I was sick I was not able to drink as much water since it hurt to swallow. I am only getting a liter which is not enough. I need to get it back up to 2-3 liters.

Day 12-

So yesterday I was still not 100% and today I am still not feeling to hot but I have way to much to do so I am up and about. Yesterday was not only rough because of being sick but also because I cheated in a major way last night. I made pigs in a blanket and I had one of those plus some m&m's. After doing several diets I have found that sometime you need to cheat to get the scale moving, it shakes your body up. Today I am back on the diet and while I am still hoping to see the low 180's I a just would love to see 30 pounds total loss which is about 7 more pounds.

Day 11- small break

So as I mentioned yesterday I was getting sick well by noon I was sick sick. I could not eat and the only thing I wanted was chicken soup. I tried to make my tomato soup but it did not work. I ended eating chicken soup from chick fila and while I did not eat all of it I was not feeling it. I decided that I was not going to worry about my weight there for there was no weight today. I will check it tomorrow and see where I a
at.

Day 10

So yesterday was a good day except for the fact I am getting sick. I had to fight to eat lunch and dinner but I did. I also went out and did visits before I started feeling too bad but I can already tell that It is going to be a very long day since i am still not feeling to feel. I also can't call out today as I have to go to court over my last boss being unfairly fired. Yes definitely going to be a very long day. I am not sure what is up with me this round but I feel so blah. Not sure if it school, work and stress but I am having a hard time getting happy over my weight loss for this round. Hoping the next round is going to be much better.

Day 9- apple day

Apple day sucks. Lunch time was not to bad. It did not get to bad until dinner time and by then I was so tired that I had to take a hot bath to stay awake. I did decide not to keep going since I was starving however what I did to not blow th e whole was I had a bowl of miracle noodles with some tomato sauce. It was a big help. I also gave in and had a few m&m's. I know bad of me but the headache I had was awful. I was able to break my stall and get down a good pound. Now I need to keep on moving. I have about 15 pounds to go to get to one 180 however I will be happy of I can get to the low 80's. I am so ready to be down and rid of this awful weight. I am off for another busy day and I am hoping for a big loss tomorrow.

Day 8-Stall

So I am at a stall today. I would not be freaking out however I am since I still have 16 pounds to lose in the next 18 days. i really need to see a half a pound to a pound weight loss a day. I am going to be doing an apple day to see if the helps. I am hoping so. Well i am off to work and really don't have much to say other than I hope to see a huge loss tomorrow

Day 7

I had a little gain yesterday and it was because I cheated. Not in a small way but it a big bad way. I ate M&m's. I have been on my period for a week and I have been craving sugar and salt. I have been doing good with that craving but after lunch yesterday there was some on my coffee table that I ate. It was so yummy. I the tired to go without eating dinner. Big mistake by 9 pm I was starving so my hubby went to Chick fil a where i got a grilled chicken no bun and a salad. I did pick some stuff off but it was so yummy. AS you can see it was a rough day. I did drink about 33 glasses of water which is 8 liters of water. I feel like i am pregnant most days but I know water is very important. I am back on track today and will be sticking with my yummy HCG approved foods.

Day 6

I am still seeing a good weight loss each day which makes me very happy. Yesterday I did things a little different. For Lunch I had chicken but as my vegetable I had 1/2 a tomato and 1/2 a cucumber. I mixed them with some salt and paper and made salad however I did to eat my fruit since I counted my tomato as my fruit. I also did not eat my fruit last night but it was more due to the fact I had a small cheat. i made French fries fro my kids and ate like 5 small ones. I did get all my water in which was about 6 liters of water. I also kept a close eye on my salt intake and noticed that it did help.

I am hoping to be down to 180 and if I keep doing .5 pound a day to a pound a day I should get there. I have about 16 more pounds to go but I know I can do it.

Day 5

Not to much to say today. Yesterday was a good day. I kept up with y drops and water pill plus did tons of water however one thing i have noticed is that I can't use extra salt or it slows my weight loss down big time. Last night I made mock spaghetti sauce and while it was ok I would not make it again. However when I was cooking it I guess I did not put enough salt in because afterwords it was so bland and yucky, I did eat it but yucko.

I also bought the gum that HCGDiet.com sells and I love it. I get the cinnamon flavor and let me tell you it helps with the hunger so good. I would recommend it to anyone doing HCG as it backed by the company. love it

Day 4

Sorry for the late post. Saturday is a work day for me so I was hard at work all day.

So for some reason the HCG makes me start my period. it happened during the last round twice. I am not sure why. I have an IUD and usually don't have one. It is very odd. Oh well can't complain I am still losing weight even on my period. I have found that round 2 is so much easier. I am not sure if it because I know what to expect or if drinking as much water as I do helps with the weight come off daily. I currently drink between 5-6 liters a day plus my doctor put me on a water pill which has been a huge help. I know that I am going to stall soon since I have 10 pounds in the last few days however i would be happy as long as I don't get back to 200. I had the roughest time breaking thru that number.

Tomorrow starts my weekend, PTL however I have a research paper I am working on so i will be doing that and chugging water. LOL

Day 3

Yesterday was a day wiring from home which is always harder because i feel like i want to eat when I am bored however I had a ton of work to do so it was not to bad until dinner time. I am the cook in my home and last night was breakfast for dinner. I made pancakes, bacon and eggs. I did good until the bacon got to me. I had one piece, and wow did I regret it as soon as it hit my lips. To made up for the bacon I had my taco salad with lots of water. I am slowly trying to up my water intake. Yesterday was 26 glasses. I feel like I am pregnant with all the water and potty breaks.

Todays weigh-198.4- that is a 3.5 weight loss.

I really think I did the loading phase right this time and I am seeing it on the scale. Yea Me

Day 2

I am so stinking proud of myself. Yesterday at work we had a meeting well when I get there I am informed that 2 different people are bringing lunch. Well of curse they brought stuff that I love and have not had in a while. Red beans and rice and Taco cabana. However I did great I ate my lettuce wraps and strawberries and was very full. I did razzed a little however most people in my office know i am on the diet so they are very supportive.

Yesterday was also rough because that headache would not go away. I finally went and bought something late last night but man I was in pain.

I was struggling with my water yesterday however it was due to the fact that I was in the car doing visits. I was able to get 20 glasses of waiter in but it was not easy. I am hoping to get better with the intake when I am at work but it is not very easy.

I have had a few cravings however I am determined to not have any cheats so that I can get down to the 180's.

Day 1 VLCD

I definitely think that the first round of HCG is much harder since you don't know what to expect. Yesterday was pretty easy for me. I was hungry in the am but I kept on drinking the water. Water is definitely the key to this diet. You must drink the 2 liters they want however I have found that I need about a gallon to lose the weight. I am back down to my prep load weight. Wish it was more however i will be happy with every pound.

Today should be fun. I have a major tension/migraine headache that is kicking my butt. Plus I have a work meeting. Yuck.

Loading Day 2

So I would say that the loading did work yesterday. I pretty much ate from the time i woke up to the time I wen to bed at Midnight. Today is day one of VCLD and I am looking forward to it. I love the fact that I can eat some yummy food and still lose the weight. I know the hunger will be and the first few days but I am prepared. Hopefully the second round is much easier than the first. Hoping to keep to the diet and have no cheats at all to see the weight loss that I want. I would like to be int he 180s after this round.

I did my measurements today and will update next tuesday. If you followed from my last round I found out I was measuring my arms wrong so that is why you see an increase.

I will be back to blogging daily. I have found that it is easier to stay on track because I am accountable to someone even in the bloggy world. LOL

Loading Day 1

So yesterday I restarted the second round of HCG and let me tell you while i did enjoy it why I was eating it I regretted it about 8 pm last night when I had indegestiation and was so sick.Yuck. Today is another day of loading and I will be pretty much eating crappy again. I ate about 3000 Calories yesterday. Not my idea of fun but it fi works I will take it

Yesterday I weighed in at 203.3, today I weighed in at 203. I am not sure why I lost especially after eating so bad but I know I gained inches because i can feel it in my back.

Off to eat some donuts.

6 days left

As mentioned in th least post this past week was extremely hard on me. I am sure a lot of it is that I have a lot on my plate with school, work and family life. All last week I was in tho funk that I could not get out of. Finally by Saturday I felt like my old self again. However when I was having those rough days my diet got out of hand. Lots of fast food and junk food. However on Saurday I resolved to get the weight back down to where I was after round 1. I managed to go from 203.8 back down to 200.2 as of today. This week will hopefully be a lot better and I will be able to stay on track

One thing I realized when I was having my off days was that the amount of water i take in oes effect my weight lost. If I don't get at least 12 glasses on water my weight will spike. For example yesterday I had about 1200 calories however I had 22 glasses of water. This morning I saw a .4 oz lost however on monday I had 2 glasses of water and gained 2 pounds. Ouch. Must drink water. Lol

I am so ready to be back on HCG. On Saturday after work, I am going to get a dozen crispy creme donuts for me to eat on Sunday and Monday. I am also planning on making brisket with potato cups with lots of cheese and creme. Then on Monday I am going to grab something on the way to school. I am so ready for this. I hate this weight. Sunday I will also be loading up on my foods for the next 26 days. I have found that there are about 3 meals that I can do no problem. They include chicken with romaine lettuce with salsa, chili and taco salad. I am thinking that the chicken wraps will be lunch and dinner will be either chili or taco salad. My fruits will be apples, oranges and strawberries. I may try the grapefruit. As for veggies I will do cucumber with salt and pepper, tomato soup and lettuce. I love asparagus and spinach but I can't do them on this diet.

As you can tell I am ready for this wonderful diet that is coming.

Right now i am dealing with a lot emotionally and physically because of stress, because of this I have let my eating get out of hand(long silvers and papa johns today). I am still holding on but I am at the end of my rope. If any of my blogging buddies read this please just send a prayer up to the big man because I am so stressed and overwhelmed.

listening to my body

So as i mentioned the other day I have been having a really rough time. I am not sure if it is from stress or just because I know that in a few short weeks I will be back on round 2 however I have been pigging out. However even with all my bad choices and there have been some awful ones I am only back up to 200.8. I was hoping to stay in onderland however it has been rough.

Between sunday and today I have eaten several of those pumpkin brownies, had mashed potatoes and then last night after class I had a craving for a cinnabon roll so I had that and a bag of chips. However I have been averaging about 12 glasses of water a day and I think that may be helping me a lot. Today has been better I had cottage cheese for breakfast and then had a veggie sub with yogurt for lunch and I have had 5 glasses of water. Dinner tonight will be spaghetti and meatballs however I will be using my yummy miracle noodles and more water.

Hoping to see a loss tomorrow but if not I am happy where I am right now. Only 2 weeks until I am back on HCG. Praise the lord.

Pumpkin brownies

So with Fall upon us I am in the baking mood however not wanting to kill my diet i have been looking for yummy recipes i can modify to meet my calorie and sweet tooth. This recipe i got from realmomkitchen.com and I love it. I have only made a few changes but did include the nutritional information at the bottom



Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Squares

2 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
1 tablespoon pumpkin-pie spice
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature (I used salted)
1 cup Truvia or Splenda
1/4 cup suag
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup canned pumpkin puree
1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips- I used 10 tbsp and that is what i calculated the recipe with


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line bottom and sides of a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with foil, leaving an overhang on all sides. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, pie spice, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
With an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar on medium-high speed until smooth; beat in egg and vanilla until combined. Beat in pumpkin puree (mixture may appear curdled). Reduce speed to low, and mix in dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
Spread batter evenly in prepared pan. Bake until edges begin to pull away from sides of pan and a toothpick inserted in center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached, 35 to 40 minutes. Cool completely in pan.
Lift cake from pan (using foil as an aid). Peel off foil, and use a serrated knife to cut into 24 squares.

up and down

so yesterday morning I was up to 200.6 and today I am back down to 200. I am sure that I was up because I did not eat too much on thursday and yesterday we went to Don Pablos. I do have to say the Don Pablos was so yummy. Today is a day of cleaning and i am going to get some stuff ready to bake which includes some muffins for the up coming week and some pumpkin cheese cake bread for my co workers. Hoping to get back down into the 199 range tomorrow.

Onederland

I finally did it I made it out of the 200's. Yesterday was a very good day for me. I did work however I was not as busy so I was able to get a few things for school done.

I have found that eating the miracle noodles for one meal a day definitely is a must. Yesterday for lunch I had a bowl of soup with miracle noodles I was only able to eat about half of the second bowl. Then for dinner we had chick fil a which I love however i did really well, I had a side salad with some of my own dressing and a grilled chicken sandwich. I am not going to lie iI was so worried that the bread would kick my butt however it did not. I think occasionally my body needs the carbs. However I am still going to be careful how I eat.

I am so ready fro another round of HCG, I definitely missing it however I am happy to see that I can maintain and even lose some more weight.

Stuffed Green Pepper soup

I am the only person in my house who likes green peppers however I could eat them daily. therefore I do not make stuffed peppers rather I make it into a yummy soup. Now with HCG I am sure this could work with phase 2 but it would need to be modified. I love this recipe. I always make a double batch and eat it work weeks. Now with traditional green papers you would add rice however since the HCG is all about cutting out carbs I used miracle rice and it is perfect in this recipe. Again this is a double batch.

Stuffed pepper soup
1/2 pound ground beef
3 green pepper diced
2 cans mushrooms(I use the big cans)
1 can peitie diced tomatoes
1 bottle V8 juice

1. Brown the ground beef and drain all the fat off.
2. While that is cooking diced the peppers into sizes that you like. I used both small and big pieces
3. In the crockpot mix the tomatoes, mushrooms and v8 juice together and add any seasonings you like. Add the peppers and ground beef. Stir Well.
4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours

Calories- 108 for 1 cup

Almost there

So the last few days have been relativity easy regarding my diet. On Monday and Tuesday my husband bought me breakfast and since I was so full from the food i did not have lunch. For dinner I have been eating a lot of miracle rice. I have had stuffed pepper soup and spaghetti. I love the miracle noodles since it does keep me full longer. I also have been adding more Fiber to my system which is so helping keep me fuller

This morning I weighed in at 200 pounds. I am so ready to be under 200 pound again. I am hoping before my next round I am at least 5 pounds under 200 pounds.

Roller Coaster

So I am back down to 200.6. Definitely not enjoying being up 2 pounds however I definitely think that my body is trying to adjust to the weight loss that I had. I am still hoping to lose a few more pounds but right now life is extremely busy and I am thankful for the little bit of weight that i have manage to lose.

Learning how to eat on Phase 3 has been a major struggle for me however I am keeping an eye on the amount of carbs and the amount of sugar that I take in. This has definitely been a learning experience and i am enjoying the challenge.

Up 2 pounds

So as my title mentions I am up 2 pounds and I am not too sure why. I did have a rough time at the theater but after that I was good, plus I had all my water and i worked out for 30 minutes. My husband stated that my body is trying to get use to all the changes however I was so upset when I saw the 2 pounds. Yet today is a new day so I picked myself up and I am moving on. I am hoping to get rid of these 2 pounds plus a lift more.

I did end up going to buy a new scale because the one I have keeps bouncing and am happy to report the old scale was adding a good pound to my actual weight. I use to a have plastic scale but read that the glass kind are better due to less issues with breakage which can throw the scale weight off. I ended up getting a Weight Watchers one from Target and I love it. My weight never bounces.

Well I have several papers to work on plus laundry and cleaning the house so today and tomorrow will be busy.

Phase 3 - I hate you

So as much as I despised phase 2 at times I can honestly say I hate Phase 3. It was so much easier to eat on phase 2 and not have to worry about the calories of food. I am not sure of I am alone in this struggle however i am having a extremely hard time eating more than 800 calories and that includes breakfast which I rarely ate before this diet. However I have been doing pretty good my weight is holding steady at 200.6-200.8 I am really hoping that I can get down to under 200. i am so close freaking close it hurts. I have been doing really well with my water intake. My treat in the water department is flavored water. I drink 6 glasses of palin water and then have 2 glasses of flavored water. Also I did make the pumpkin spice latte and they were yummy but I have not had any since Friday. I think on my loading days i WILL be getting the star bucks kind. Yummo.

Today will be interesting as I am taking my kids to see Lion king. The movie theater we are going to has a full menu but I plan on getting a salad with salsa, weird i know but i love it with a bottle of water. Plus I am going to sneak some strawberries in. LOL

pumpkin spice latte

Pumpkin spiced latte
2 cups milk- I used soy milk
2 TBSP canned pumpkin
2 TBSP TRUVIA
2 TBSP Vanilla
1/2tsp pumpkin pie spice
3/4 cup strong brewed coffee
Crock pot

Use a 4 quart crockpot add the coffee, and milk to the crock pot. whisk in the pumpkin, side, sugar, and vanilla.

Cover and cook on high fro 2 hours and whisk again

You can use low fat whipped cream however the calories are not added in

Vegged out potato salad

I found this super yummy and easy recipe in Hungry Girls 300 under 300. I love this recipe, however I have modified it to fit what I eat. I have also included the calorie count. This will be great on phase 3 of the HCG diet

Vegged out potato Salad- hungry girl

1 pound small potatoes, chopped
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup celery-chopped
1/2 cucumber- chopped


Dressing
1/4 cup FF mayo
1/4 Cup FF sour cream
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp relish
salt

in a large pot of boiling water and let cook roughly 10-12 our until soft. Drain and add to a boil.

Combine all dressing ingredients in a small bowl, and mix well

once cool add the remaining salad veggies and add dressing and lightly toss.

Refrigerate for one hour(I do it for at least a day)

HCG Chili

SO last week I made the chili in the book and I did not like it one bit. I think it had to do with the fact I hate cooked tomatoes. Tonight I had an idea that I got from making the tomato soup. I pureed the tomatoes and add salsa and oh my word it is awesome. So without few adieu the yummy HCG Chili

Hcg Chili
1 large tomato
100 g group beef
2 -4 tbsp slasa
2/3 cup water
miracle noodles(optional)

Broil the tomato for about 10 minutes. Make sure the tomato is cut in half.
While the tomato is cooking brown the meat.
When the tomato is done peel the skin and puree in the blender.
Add the tomato, water and salsa plus spices- garlic powder, onion powder chili pepper
Let simmer about 10 minutes and add the noodles if using and let simmer for additional 3 minutes or so.

Super yummy and super easy

1 protein and 1 veggie

So when I stared the first round of hog ON August 21 I weighed 216.8 and when I weighed today I weighed 200.8. I have lost 16 pounds in 26 day. I am so freaking excited. I was hoping fro more however who can say they lost 16 pounds in such a short period of time. I am going to be working on getting to 185 in the next few weeks before I start my next round. I am so worried that I will go out of control however some foods do turn me off so I am sure I will do ok.

Miracle Noodles

So all over the HCGDIET Facebook account is the talk of miracle which have no calories, no carbs n sugar and no fast. However i was skeptical because of the amount of money they cost and they have a fishy smell however hafted struggling with my meat aspect of this diet I bit the bullet and got 12 bags for 34 dollars including free shipping. Now I admit they do smell fishy however after reading to wash them out for about 5 minutes I learned that the smell goes away.

Tonight I made a super yummy chick(recipe to follow) and put them in my chili. I am actually having a hard time finishing one bowl. This weekend i WILL be using the rice to make unstuffed pepper soup and I have a ton more recipes to share.

I would say if you are doing the HCG diet these noodles are truly a miracle.

Day 26- Last Day of round 1

So today is the last day of round one and tomorrow I can start eating semi normal again. I am truly looking forward to eating something other than what is on the diet however i am very proud of myself for all the weight I did lose this round. Tomorrow, I will post my final measurements and weight. Hoping for a another 2 ozs as I seem to lose those every day or 2.

Day 25

Sorry for the late post. Wednesdays are my monday so i have a hard time getting online. I am still holding steady at 201.8. I am happy with no gain however i wish I had more of a loss. so irrupting however I am sure I will see more inches on friday. Not to much to say as I am own out and trying to eat however I will be posting a recipe for my chili that i LOVE, MY PUMPKIN SPICE latte and the miracle noodles that I ordered.

Day 24

Today will be the first of the 3 days of no drops but still eating only 500 calories. i have been very good about planning what I eat and how much. I may even skip the pumpkin spiced latte since I found a recipe that I may try to make that has 67 calories per serving. I am very much looking forward to adding some foods back in however I am going to stick to getting down to 185 before the start of my next round. If I don't make it then I will keep on trucking and if have to will do another round . I will be still be blogging probably not as often but once I get on the next round the blog will be daily. I am off to walk and then to the grocery store.

Day 23- last day of drops

So today is the final day that I take the HCG drops. I am sad to see this phase end for now however I am looking forward to the next stage of this journey. I have already been looking into recipes that I will use when on stage 3. I also started my workout plan this morning. i walked for 28 minutes this morning. I am hoping to do 30 at least everyday but sunday.

Yesterday was interesting because I drank 22 glasses of water(8oz) and let me tell you I thought I was pregnant by the way I was running to the bathroom.

My official weight loss does not end until Friday morning so I have a few more days to get to the 200 pound mark. I am definitely looking forward to getting back on the diet in October.

New meal plan

So on friday i will be entering the maintenance phase of my diet and while i am excited that I am entering the next step I am very worried that I will go out of control however today I went to the grocery store and brought several items that I know will keep me on track.
It included-
Fiber one bars- love them, mostly likely a likely a lunch item
kellogs strawberry cereal with soy milk- a cup soy milk has 60 calories no way I will use that much
weight watchers meals- I have done WW before and lost about 100 pounds- I will add some of the miracle noodles to help keep me full
salmon- dinner item with broccoli
chicken and more tilpia- even though I am sick of the chicken i will still only eat about 3.50z
hamburger meat- still will be 3.5 ozzs of taco salad
mushroom and peppers for salad and my unstuffed pepper soup with miracle rice.

I have already made a small meal plan for Friday, and sunday. Saturdays will be my cheat day however I will probably stick with a salad. I am hoping for at least 15 more pounds before i start round 2 which will be October 9th. I am already looking forward to my loading days, krispy creme donuts, cheesecake, pizza, ice cream and lots of pumpkin spiced lattes. LOL

Day 22

So today is a no loss day. There may be 2 reasons why I did not lose, I went to mcd's for my kids yesterday morning and order a larger unsweet tea however when I took a big sip of it I releaized it was a sweet tea. I did not drink any more but any amount of sugar i have found does screw with me. My other thing is that I did 3 hours of heavy cleaning last night. I wish I was closer to 199 however at this point I can be mad because i have lost 14.4 pounds.

I have already got my meals ready for next week when I get off the low calorie and did order some miracle noodles. I am going to be making several recipes with it so I am hoping I can get the weight down. Only 5 more days until i can get a skinny pumpkin spiced latte

Day 21

Well not having a good day at worked helped me lose some weight however i am starving today and i am so sleeply. So sad that i will be off the drops in 2 days however i am not going to lie i am ready to have some other foods. I will be ordering the miracle noodles to see if i like them. I love pasta and rice however i dont want to scarfice forever. I am also planning on gettinG a pumpkin spice latte on friday. My one treat. While on mainteance i hope to get dpwn to 185 and hopefully lose 40 more pounds in tge next 2 rounds. That will get me almost to my goal weight. Woo hoo. Well i am working today so i better act like i am dping something

What a day

Today was very busy. i DID 7 CLIENT INTERVIEWS IN 3 hours, then documented it all. This friday I am on call from 4pm until 8 am saturday, however 4 minutes after 4 I got 3 major call outs and just spent 3 hours in the hot sun getting no where fast with the client or the police. I literally just finished dinner about 5 minutes. I was not very hungry tonight but i THINK IT IS DUE TO MY DAY AND how tired i am so no protein. Hopefully won't mess me uo too bad. I am now off to bed

Day 20

So the last few days have been rough because I am only losing ozs and not the pounds I was hoping for however i happy to see that I have lost almost 14 pounds. Regardless of how much i actually lose these pounds will not be back on my body. On Monday I am going to start doing a little bit of walking. This way when i do round two in 29 days my body will not be back up. I am not sure how I will do this with work but I figure as long as i am moving the weight will come off. I have gotten better about parking my car away from my office building and my clients home. Definitely think that is helping.


As for my clothes I can definitely tell in some items that I have lost weight and inches because they are no longer snug. I am super excited about this because I have a ton of clothes that no longer fit and I wish they did.

Day 19-

It does not look like i will get 20 pounds before next tuesday however at this point I will take under 200 pounds. I did good yesterday expect i did not feel well at all and ended up taking medications which may account for why i did not have a big number. I did all my eating and got almost all my water but only am down 2oz. I am happy with any weight loss at this point but i will not lie i was hoping for more. I am still not feeling 100% but I am off to work. Also I ate the chili I made and i so did not like it.

Day 18- not feeling so hot

So today I am feeling awful. I am going to try to go to work but I have a feeling i will be leaving early as I am very dizzy and nauseous. Yesterday I tracked every piece of food and found that I am only getting 350 calories. I need to figure out a way to up this. Maybe a lot more veggies. I did get all my water in and was very happy to 203.8 this morning. I am not going to lie I wish it was more however at this point i will take what I can get. I have decided not to do a 40 day round. I am happy with the dates i have set on my next 2 rounds so If I don't lose the full twenty I will work on it before my next round.

Day 17- Beyond frustrated

So as you can tell by my post I did not have a good weigh in day. My weight was bouncing all over the place but finally settled on 205. While I am happy it has not gone up i am pissed that it is not moving. S\I am seriously debating doing the 40 day program now but i am not sure if I can do another 3 weeks of eating low calorie however I am so pissed that I will not may my 20 weight loss by next week. I am hoping that the weight moves tomorrow but if not I am doing an apple day. I debated about doing it today however I will be busy with work tomorrow so it will be easier. Really wish the scale was moving!!!!!!!!

Day 16- Small Gain

So as I mentioned last night I had a rough day and knew I would have a gain however i did drink like 2 gallons of water so I think that helped keep the gain down . I only was up.2 oz so I can't complain to much however I am going to stick to the diet today and not deviate one bit. Today I am working on school work so that will be so much fun. Not. I am going to run to the store later and get some tomatoes and make my soup again for lunches this week. I have found that I am only able to eat protein once a day without it really affecting me so I will double up on the veggies at lunch.

Picture post


So the pictures I am posting is the one i took on my second day of Loading. Cant my body that feel however in my face i can see how heavy I am. I hoping to take a few pictures tomorrow of my weight loss. I have a feeling i will be up tomorrow in weight but I had a few slip ups today. However I have had 2 gallons of water. i am peeing like crazy.



HCG Recipe

So as my struggle with food has gotten rough these last few days, today I started craving soup. However most soups are made with a ton of fat ad sugar. So to mr. Google I go. I found this yummy recipe fro Tomato soup HCG style and while i modified some the basic recipe is the same. It was so freaking good i may go get some more tomatoes and make up several batches for this week. I will also be experimenting with a chicken and broccoli mock stir fry tonight. If I like it I will post it.

HCG Tomato Soup
1 tomato
1/4 cup water
garlic powder
onion powder
salt
pepper
cayenne

To Make

Turn you oven on to broil
Take the tomato cut in half and lay it down cut side down
Broil in the oven for about 5 minutes
while the tomato is cooking combine the water garlic powder, onion powder and salt and paper and let simmer about 5 minutes.
When the tomato is done peel the skin off
Put the tomato in the blender until smooth and mix into the water mixture add as much cayenne as you would like
Let simmer about 5-10 minutes.

Enjoy.

day 15- Last full week

So as I wind down this round of HCG I am happy to report that i am on track to lose the 20 pounds i set out to lose. Next Monday will be the last day I take the drops and then for 3 days I will still eat roughly 500 calories. Then the next 3 weeks will slowly beading my calories. My goal during that time is to walk some and to do healthy dinners. I already have been going thru my recipes to find things i can eat and that my hubby will eat too(very picky eater). I am have decided that I will have a cheat day where we eat out once a week but on those days I will still keep my food in check. I will continue to blog during that time. My next round of HCG will be Octobrer 9th. I will be doing another 26 day round. To much of a chicken to do the 40 day round.

I have to say that I did well yesterday with my diet, my hubby and kids ordered pizza and while i usually don't like pizza it smelt so yummy. LOL

Day 14

So after my rough day yesterday i figured my weight would be up or the same so needless to say i was shocked to see a little over a pound lost. I was so happy. Some days i think we need a little cheat.
The last few days have been hard getting my protein in so yesterday i only has my fruit and veggie for lunch. Dinner was 4 boiled eggs and an apple. Today for lunch i had some cucmber and strawberries. Night will be 5 boiled eggs no yolk yuck with an apple. Tomorrow is hopping day so i need to get some more salsa and hamburger meat. I may buy a small pack of lobster and do lobster salad one night. I have been using my george formen but i think i may grill some small hamburgers and chicken up And see if that help. i cant do the shrimp because no butter. As for the fish i am over it. Going to keep it simple with the veggie salad cucumber and i may try some broccoli to see if i stall Any. as for fruits i am loving strawberries and applez. I forgot how much i love fresh food. However i am looking forward to my mainteance days when i can eat some carbs. Lol

Bad day

Today was awful. I forgot my drop at home so for lunch and so i only ate the veggie and fruit however by the time i got home i was starving but i did not want any meat so dinner was 4 hard boiled eggs but i had some ketchup then my family was having french fries and meatball subs there were a few fries left over so i dipped them in tomato sauce. I am hoping i did not destory it to bad however if i do gain i will do an ACV day tomorrow. Not looking forward to it

Day 13

So i have only about 2 more weeks on this round of HCG and i hope to lose the additional ten pounds that I need to lose. I feel as if my body is about to stall after losing so much weight. If I stall tomorrow or only lose ounces again i will do some ACV mixed in with my water. Not much to say today as it is kind of a blah day.

Day 12- The big 10

SO yesterday I was going to work on getting my water in however that did not happen as i was busy with clients and paperwork so I maybe got only 64 oz of water however i did really good with my eating except i had a late lunch and therefore y dinner time i was starving however i could not eat all my food. So today i figured y weight would stay the same however i am proud to report i am now down 10 pounds. I did a little jig when i saw the scale because i needed it. I hoping within the next 2 weeks I can't get the other 2 pound off. I do plan on doing two more round of this diet once at the beginning of October and then on Thanksgiving i will load. I am sure i will do a few more in 2012 however I can't plan that far in advance. I need to lose about 60-75 more pounds.

Day 11

Nothing special happened yesterday. Stayed on the diet and did not deviate. I did have dinner super late last night due to that fact that I was in class. I have found that I can eat cabbage and spinach as long as it is in a soup. Today I am back to work. I am sure staying busy will help however I have found that I don't get as much water so I am going to make an effort to get my water in. I did find a gum that I like that is sugar free, it is not on the diet plan but after lunch I have to chew something. Weight today was 207.4. Hoping for 10 pounds tomorrow.

Day 10

What a difference one day can make. Yesterday I did not deviate from the diet at all. I drunk like 2 liters of water and ate my very yummy chicken and spanch for lunch with an apple, then I had class so I did not eat until I got home but by then i was not very hungry so I had some lettuce with cucumber with salsa but really only ate the cucumbers. Today I am happy to report I am down to 208.6. Woo too. It feels great. I was hoping for a little more but i am so happy to get back on track. Also I did do the ACV in my water and did about half a glass and let me tell you it works. It made me so sick but it worked. lol

Day 9- 1st stall

So yesterday I did really good with my eating, and was looking forward to getting on the scale this morning however my weight was still 209.8. While I am happy it has not gone up it is so frustrating because i have done everything right. Good food and lots of water. Today I will hade my water however I will put some ACV and lemon in one of my waters to see if that help.

Day 8- Small Loss

So as I mentioned last night I wen ahead and had a piece of cake and while i tell you the cake was yummy i did regret it a few hours later when I had some unpleasant side effects of the diet. I was hoping that I maintained my weight loss and did not have a huge gain. i am happy to report I did in fact lose 2 oz. I am so happy with the small loss. The next 3 days will be hard because i will be at home for the most part and want to eat more when i am home. However tomorrow i will be starting a new part of my life. I am starting my masters of social work which requires me in class 2 nights a week and will be i school for 2 years however in the long run I know that it will be worth it.

I should mention I have lost 7 pounds since Tuesday. Have to say that is pretty awesome and all my clothes are fitting so much better

Gave In

ALL I have to say is I gave in and had a piece of cake. Uggh. It felt good to eat but man I am now regretting it because my stomach is upset with me. I am also going to regret it when I get on the scale tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be to bad. However I have noticed that my clothes are much looser. I will post my starting measurements on Monday as that is when I did my measurements last week. I am excited to see what they are. I am now off to finish my last bottle of water and then heading to bed.

Day 7 - I did it

So yesterday was my youngest childs birthday. FOr dinner she chose to go to the cheesecake factory. Let me this say i love the cheesecake factory. However i already knew what i was getting grilled chicken with asapargus. However they of course brought out brea d which i did not eat. However my hubby did order fried mac and cheese. I love fried mac and cheese but i did not eat any. Did came and i did good but did have a tiny bite of pizza. Then my kies decided they want a piece of chocolate cheesecake. I did smell it  but did not eat any. We had to go get a new computer last night because our lap top died 2 days before i start class. So we did not home till late and i did not eat any cake. Woo hoo.

I did have a hard time getting my water in but i did manage to lose .08 today.

Day 6-

So after my awful hunger that I had last night I was looking forward to getting on the scale to see how much weight I have lost. I am happy to report that I am now down to 210.8 which means I have lost almost 6 pounds in 3 days. Tommorrow will probably not have a weight loss SINCE I do plan on having a small cheat. I am now off to work for another fun filled day with clients.

Having Major Food Cravings!!!

So today was good until about 5 pm when I got super hungry. I had a late lunch today of fish with lettuce and cucumber with a little bit of salsa. Then dinner I decided to make some chicken with cabbage. Now I usually love cabbage but it is usually covered in butter. So what I have decided to do is at lunch I will have my chicken or fish protein with either cucumber or asparagus as for dinner I will have either taco salad or shrimp salad. I am hoping with this change I will be less hungry and wont be focused so much on food.

Tomorrow is my youngest child's birthday and we are going to cheesecake factory however I have my meal plan, grilled chicken with asparagus. I will not be ordering any cheesecake which will be hard because I love their cheesecake. We have ordered a cake also, I decided that I am going to eat a small piece of cake and will enjoy it and not feel guilty about it because you have to enjoy the small moments like birthdays.

Blogging has helped me get over the hunger along with the 64 oz of water I am chugging.

Day 5

So yesterday was a semi easy day regarding my food. I went to work and thankfully that keeps me very busy. The only time I was hungry was when a coworker went to Mds. I love MDS. Another upside to this diet is that I have a hard time sleeping due to bad insomina and usually have to take 2 sleeping pills however last night about 8 pm I was ready for bed.I feel asleep about 9:15 which was great plus I slept thru the night. Today is another busy work day so hopefully the eating will be easier on me. I do have to say that I was not very hungry yesterday so I had to force myself to eat dinner and had a hard time eating it all.

Lunch today is going to be chicken and cucumber with an orange

Day 4

So after the trouble i had yestsrday with being hungry i figured the few pieces of chocolate i ate would be bad for my dIet however when i woke up today and weighed i was down to 213.4 which is 3.2 pounds lost in one day. Woo hoo. As for today my hunger is not to bad. I Am currently at work and will be busy wity visits today. I will eat lunch in about an hour and then head our. Dinner tonight will be grilled fish and spianch with an apple. As for my water i a doing pretty good with the water today. I have had about 16 oz and will have 16 ox more with lunch.

Hard Time

Man I thought today would be semi easy because I usually work without eating however by 10 am I was starving and that was after chugging 32oz of water. SO I decided to eat an orange to cut the hunger. Below is what my meals were today

Morning snack- orange and a multivitamin- 32 OZ Water

Lunch- Grilled Tilpia and garlic spinach- 32 oz water

Afternoon snack- apple

Dinner- Taco salad and - 32 oz water

I did have a small cheat- I ate a handful of chocolate chips.

Hoping for a good number loss tomorrow.

Day 3- first day of very low caloire

So after all the mess I had yesterday of not feeling well after eating a ton of garbabge I decidied that yesterday I would eat better but not eat a ton. I have to say that I did much better,I am still having tummy trouble but I think my body thinks I am getting a period(which I don't get very often).

Today is the first day of my veru low caloire diet. I have taken my HCG and I am currently working on my first bottle of water however I am hungry yet I am fixing to get up and clean in a few minutes. I am sure Wednesay thru Saturday will be easier because I will be busy with work.

ON the HCG diet I am suppose to drink 2 liters of water.I have been doing pretty good with the water.

Day 2 -Another Loading day!!!

So today is day 2 of the HCG diet. Yesterday and today are the loading days where I can eat whatever I want. Well yesterday was very hard because I had to force myself to eat because I usually dont eat that much because of force feeding I am now dealing with alot of Gas. Yuck TMI. Becauseof the loading days my weight went up which I knew would happen.

So today is Day 1 of my HCG diet. I weighed today at my starting weight is 216.8. Today and tomorrow are my loading days so I am going to enjoy my last two days of carbs.I did take my first dose of HCG and all I can say is yuck. It has a very bitter tatse but if I lose weight then I will do what I have too.

Tomorrow is the day!!!

Tomorrow is the day I start my new diet. Tomorrow and MOnday I will eat between roughly 1500 and 2000 caloires. On Tuesday my caloires drop to five hundred caloires no carbs, sugar, or fat. Tomorrow I will be going to the store and getting all the things I need and then will make all my meals for the next week. On tuesday i will eat only lunch and dinner with lots of water. I will post my weight everyday while I am on the HCG diet. Wish me Luck.

Start Date

So I recieved my order of HCG today.I was going to wait until Septmeber 1st however with me starting school in two weeks I want to be on the diet for at least a week since the first week is the hardest. Therefore I will be starting the diet on Sunday. That means on day 1 and 2 I will take the drops and eat 1500 -2000 caloires.On the erd day I will take the drops and then eat only 500 caloires for the whole day. These meals will consist of 100g of shrimp, chicken and white fish(there are more choses but I am not a big red meat fan), a serving of either cabbage, lettuce, tomato, spianch or aspargus(again there are more choices) and either an apple,orange or strawberries. I will also need to drink a 1/2 gallon to Gallon of Water.

I am suppose to lose a pound a day. I am hoping to lose at lease 20 pounds in 26 days. I will post my starting weight on Sunday and post the weight each day for the 26 days.

Starting over

So I have not been keeping up with my weight or this blog as life got very busy. However I will be starting a new diet called HCG on hopefully the 1st of september. I need to start working out some since I will be back in school on the 29th of this month. Please pray for me as I start this new journey of weight loss, kids, school and work. I must be nuts.

New Title equal New Goals

So as you see I have changed the title to my blog. I have found that with the changes to my job there will be changes to my weight loss goal. I am going to finish this week out doing the wii however I am behind a few workouts so my goal is to workout today, tomorrow and then on Thursday. Then on Friday I will do my final wii weigh in. Then starting Saturday, I am hoping to walk at least 30 minutes. I am debating on getting up early to workout or wait until after work. I may have to wait and see on that. However I do want to try to walk 5 days a week and try to use the WII 3 times a week for 20 minutes. The first time I lost weight was by walking 5 days a week. I hoping to re start this and see the weight come off. I am still hoping to see the same weight loss and keep the same goal of be down 30 pound by June 1st. I will keep updating throughout the week.

Update

So this week I have been slacking. My job has been going through some transitions so I am tying to get adjusted to them. Due to this I only did 2 works outs which was about 1 hour. However my weight is 186. I am hoping to get back into the swing of things however it may take a while with the changes at my job.

Wanting to give up

SO the last few weeks have been a a major struggle for me. By now I was hopijng to see 183 however I keep bouncing back and forth between 188 and 187. I think alot of it has to do with the fact there have been some major changes at work which are causing me to want to eat all the time. Another thing I have reliazed is that a weigh in on sunday so I am planning on taking a week off and making my weigh in day be friday. I plan on weighing in before work to make sure I am keeping track. I am still mananging to get my workous however I feel that I am not 100 percent into it so I feel that may be one reason why the scale is not moving. Please pray for me as I battle with my wii and my diet.

Staying Motivated

So this week has been rough. I have been working on om my diet but there are nights that I want to eat and eat. I have been doing my workouts like I am suppose to however there are most nights that I have to fight through it. I have also been dealing with some major colon problems that I have me chugging fiber, however nothing is working. I am in so much pain and I am hoping this medications start moving soon. I praying for a weight loss this week however I stuck in a rut at this moment and need to find a way to shake up my diet. Praying for a good week.

So I new this week was going to rough. The fact that I was stuck inside with my kids all week I Knew I would see an increase. Also the fact that I had a rough day with my diet and even though I did my workouts all week I did manage to gain. This week I need to lose at least 4 pounds to get back on track. Donuts = Double Workout

So today was a great day. I got to sleep in until 12 which never happens. My wonderful husband brought home diets and I ended up eating 4 donuts and because of that I ended up doing 2 workouts because the donuts had 700 caloires in it. One was my normal EA workout and then I did 20 minutes of step aerobics. OH MY LORD, that was a tough workout however I did end up finishing it.

I am not sure if I will see a good weight loss this week, however I will take one pound which is better than gaining.

Working Moms make thier kids fat

So the link above is an article on CNN about a study that was done using 900 kids whose mothers work. When I read this article I was pissed. The title alone makes me mad. Now a days women have to work but how is it only the woman's problem. What about the men, why are no studies done about men who work and the correlation between this and that. I am over so society beating down who have to work

Another thing that upset me was saying that because moms work we don't provide good meals for our children. I Cook 5 nights a week, hubby does one and usually a treat to eat out. However if there has been a night where I had a rough day at work, yes then I will swing thru a drive thru. However my kids get healthy meals and they drink alot of milk. I hate that working mothers get such a bad stereotype.

The sad thing about this comment though is that so many people think that working mothers are selfish. Yes I have a Bachelors in Social Work, Yes I am in the process of going to Grad School, yes I work 40 hours a week, However I have children who need thing (insurance, food, clothing, and shelter) and I refuse to live off the system. I am neither self centered or have selfish personality, as I rarely do anything for myself(I have the same pair of sneakers from 5 years ago). I work to provide for my kids so others don't have to.

Working mothers sometimes have a harder job than a SAHM- we have to balance work, kids and also our own guilt for working.

I know that I am a better mother because I work.Yes I did the SAHM and hope to do it again if we ever have another child. However I would never thrown stones at someone without knowing the whole situation.

Snow Dayssssss

So here in wonderful Dallas we have been dealing with major weather conditions. On Early Tuesday morning we received rain, sleet, snow and Ice. Great Combination. So on Tuesday school was closed and I worked from home. On Wednesday school was again canceled due to the bad roads and again I worked from home. Did I mention the State of Texas was closed however my job requires response in 24 hours so I was one of a few people who has to work from home. Yesterday school was closed but the state opened at 1pm. However I worked from home since the roads were awful. Then last night about midnight the snow started and when we were only suppose to get a dusting we have now received 6 inches and our suppose to get another 2 before the end of the day. Yes I am working again at home because the roads are awful and school is closed.

Now I am from Florida and this weather is not for me. I can handle it for maybe a day but I am at the point I am going crazy. LOL. I have not been out of my home since Monday, I just finally put on clothes and not PJ's and my children are driving me nuts. While there are days I miss being a stay at home mom there are days like the last few that have made me thankful to work.

Hopefully by Monday the kids will be at school and I will be at work.

In other news my weight loss is going well.. I have been able to work out the last few days super early and then get to enjoy my family time. As for My diet, I am watching what I eat. I am trying not to go over 1200 calories. However tonight is family night so we are having pizza. Going to have to workout harder to enjoy it.

Emotional Eater

For most of my adult life I have been` emotional eater. About 4 years ago I realized this and tried to do my best to stop it which helped contribute to my first weight loss however as life has moved on and we are now in a different situation, I was once again finding myself to eat for no reason. The following are my big triggers

* Boredom
* lonely
* sad
* tired
* overwhelmed


These 5 things can have me eating through a bag chips without even realizing it however I have become more aware of it in the last few weeks. This past Sunday was my birthday and my lovely husband brought me cupcakes, and when I say cupcakes I mean 36 cupcakes. There were 4 of us eating them however I did not need that many. Anyways back to Sunday my husband went to bed so that he coud get a few hours of sleep and during that time I was so bored. Instead of finding something else to do I got up and had 4 yes 4 cupcakes. I regretted it the moment it was in my tummy but man they were so yummy.

Yesterday and today we have all been trapped in the home due to a snow/ice storm. I am still working (thanks technology) however my day is still dragging on. Yesterday was a easy day food wise because I knew I needed to get back on track however today has not been so easy. I am so bored that I want to scream and if it were not 19 degrees outside I would take a walk however I decided to write this blog which has helped.

Another way I combat my food craving is cross stitching. Yes I am only 28 but I have been cross stitching since I was like 12. I love it because it is so neat to see something form from string. When I cross stitch I due projects that are big. I have made a wedding one for myself and then I have done several baby announcements. I wish it is something I could do more of however time it tight. Yet when I am cross stitching I lose track of time because you have to keep track of your stitches. This has been a big help for me with my food cravings.

Something else I do if both fail and I have blogged and cross stitch I drink 16 oz of ice cold water. This has been something that helps because most time I am hungry I am really thirsty.

Now if all this fails I will allow myself a small treat. I keep granola bars and fruit roll ups in my house which I eat to curb my craving.

Happy Birthday to Me

So today is my 28th birthday. It is hard to believe that in 2 years I will be 30.
I have set some goals that I would love to complete before I turn 30.

* Have 10k in savings
* Have a game plan for a new baby.

Some of these I hope to get soon others may take a while but I am hoping that we can accomplish some soon.

Double Workout Days

So yesterday and today were a double workout day. Yesterday I decided that it was time to get into my garden and pull about 6 trees that I had in my flower bed. It took me about an hour and an half to pull out the trees. I burned roughly 400 calories doing that. Then later on Friday I did a 15 minute workout where I burned about 10 calories.

Today I did my normal workout of 40 minutes which was a good workout. Then I did some step aerobics was about 20 minutes.

So between these 2 works outs have done roughly 3 hours of good workout. I am hoping that this will translate into a good weight loss on my scale.

Best Workout Time

So I know that alot of people like to workout in the morning. They feel better through out the day and at the end of the day they don't have to worry about working out.

When I started working out years ago, I would walk first thing in the morning because I had the time to do it and did not have to worry about having my children with me. However since becoming a working mom I am now working out at night. I have tired to workout in the morning however I am not a morning person so I decided to go back to my night workout.

Now when I workout at night I have a routine, I have to come home from work set the game up and then workout. Then we have dinner. However there have been a few nights that I have had to eat dinner and then workout. I can say for me this is harder because once I am done working out I am starving I will allow myself a small snack yet I feel like a I am destroying my workout.

My question to you_ what is the best time for you to workout.

Tater Beef Bake

So I found this recipe in the taste of home ground beef edition. I did not think my husband would like this becasue he does not like sloppy joes but he did like it and saud that he would eat it once a month. My kids loved this of course and I have to say it was pretty good. I did have to modify it a because it had veggies in it. I calculated the nutiroal information at sparkpeople.com

Tater Beef Bake

1 lb pound ground beef
1 cup water
2 envelopes sloppy joe mix
1 can tomato sauce
27 tater tots
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

In a dutch oven, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain. Stir in water and sauce mix. bring to a boil. Reduce heat: simmer, uncovered for 3-5 minutes. add tomato sauce; stir until blended.

Transfer to a greased 13 x9 baking dish. Top with tater tots, baked uncovered 350 for 30 minutes. sprinkle with cheese and heat another 5 minutes.

Crab Salad

SO I love seafood, however my hubby is not a big fan of it so I have to make it in small batches. I saw this recipe online but I modified it to my taste. Again all nutritional information is from SparkPEOPLE.COM

Crab Salad- MAKE 4 1/4 CUP SERVING

8 oz imitation crab meat
1/4 c chopped green pepper
1 celery stalk sliced thin
2 tbsp Low fat mayo
salt pepper and old bay seasoning

chopped all the ingredients including the crab. Mix together, let sit in the refrigerator at least 2 hours(overnight would be better).

Keeping at it

So last weekend I managed to twist my left ankel. Well this weekedn I managed to twist my right ankle which I thougth I had broken at one point. So last week I missed one workout which I was hoping I would make up this weekned which did not happen. Then on Sunday when I hurt my other ankle I was not able to finsh my workout so last night I attempted the workout which I did complete. I did take it easy but managed to do it. Tonight I got on the wii and when I saw it was a 40 minute workout I almost gave up because I did not think I could do it however because I was so tired,yet I did not give up I completed the workout which took me roughly 45 minutes. I am proud of myslef for not giving up

Week 4 update

So today was my day to check in with my weight. This week was rough as I had twisted my ankle last week and then I was sick most of this week, so imagine my shock when I weighed in and had lost weight. While I was sick I was still eating but I was eating healthy. I did have a few slip ups but I think I did great. So without further ado

Now for the recipe, I know everyone has a chicken noodle recipe however I went on the search for a recipe that would be good and low in calories. This soup was so good that my kids even ate it vegetables and all

Chicken Noodle Soup

3 pieces of chicken
4 celery stalks, dice
4 medium carrots, diced
2 cup noodles, these were not cooked,
4 cups water
1 can broth
2 bouillon cubes and 2 cups water
salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and minced onion

I prepared the the bouillon about an hour earlier wit the 2 cups of water. Then I used frozen chicken and boiled in it water with onion, garlic for about 30 minutes. Let the chicken cool and cut into pieces. In a large pot add the chicken broth, chicken bouillon, and 4 cups water, carrots, celery, garlic powder, onion powder, minced onion, with a little bit of salt and pepper. Let this simmer for about 20 minutes then add chicken. While this is cooking cook the noodles for about 8 minutes. When finsihed ad the noodles and water together in the large pot and let simmer 10 minutes. Let cook a few minutes and enjoy.

Sickness

So on Wednesday night I started to feel bad, by yesterday evening I thought I was dying, Matt and I went to bed at 730 and I can honestly say I never slept so good. I did wake up twice. I did manage to go to work and decided that I was going to do the workout that I missed last night so that I would not be behind by 2 workouts(missed one on Tuesday due to tiredness, will make up tomorrow). I am hoping that this cold/flu crap will go away because I am so ready for this weigth to be gone permanently.

In other news I have applied for grad school so that I can get my Masters in Social Work. I am hoping to start in the Fall, I Will keep ya'll in the loop and let you know if I get in.

Baja Shrimp Boil

So shrimp is one of foods that most people eat as it is a low calorie food and can be made into several different recipes. The recipe I found below in Weight Watchers Slow Cook it. The orignal recipe called for wine and since I don't cook with wine I used chicken broth. The orignal recipe also was 6 shrimp with 3 tbsp cooking liquid which was 80 calories and is 2 points, however my recipe is 4 shrimp and I made it into lettuce wraps. This recipe is so yummy and simple, I added salsa to it. Super Yummy

Baja Shrimp Boil

1 LB unpeeled large shrimp
3/4 cup white wine- used 3/4 cup chicken broth
4 tbsp chopped parsley
4 tbsp dill- did not use
zest of 1 lemon- did not use
1.5 tsp butter- used 1 tbsp
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
10 bibb lettuce leaves

Combine shrimp, wine/brothe, 2 tbsp parsley, 2 tbso dill, kemin zest, butter, salt and pepper in 5-6 qt slow cooker, cover and cook until shrimp are pink 2-3 hours on high, 4-6 hours on low.

At the end of cooking time, stir in the remaining spices.

Few Updates

So after my rough day yesterday, I was determined to come home and workout for a little bit. However I wanted to be careful of how much pressure I put on my leg. I did about 28 minutes on the wii and felt so much better. I have figured out that I do better if I workout and then have dinner. I have found that this way I feel better getting it done before trying to veg out on the couch.

I also have been keeping a very close eye on my calories and you will see over the next few weeks that I will be adding some recipes. I will only post recipe that workout calorie wise and are yummy and healthy at the same time so keep an eye out for the recipes.

Also, I will be posting a picture of myself with my weight right now and then will post pictures throughout my journey.

Healthy Meatballs

So the only way I can get my husband to eat spaghetti is if it has meatballs in however have you ever looked at the price of a bag of meatballs, they are not cheap and do not always have the best ingredients. So for this weekend I went looking through my hundreds of cookbooks and found this recipe. This recipe I made with turkey and hamburger. Next time I won't use the parsley in the turkey recipe. I did not use it in the hamburger meatballs. Also I did cook these longer about 15 -20 minutes. Also the nutritional information will be at the bottom. These freeze well.

Turkey Meatballs
olive oil spray
2 egg whites
1/2 c quick cooking oats
1/4 c ff milk
1/2 c fresh parsley
1 tbsp minced onion- I used onion powder
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2/tsp garlic powder
1/4tsp salt
1 pound ground turkey

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray cookie sheet with spray.

In a medium bowl, using a fork mix together the egg whites, oats and milk until well combined. Add the parsley, onion, oregano, garlic and salt until well combined. Mix in the beef until well combined.

Make 32 ( I got 36) uniform meatballs, each 1 1/4 diameter. Roll the balls with your hands and arrange, not touching on the prepared baking dish. Bake 7-10 minutes. I baked for 15-20 minutes.

So tonight I was determined to get on the wii and workout hwoever while on it I did not to be on it. I did manage to do about 34 minutes however I still had 12 minutes and I could not do it. I ended up turning the WII and coming to relax. Hopefully tomorrow will be better

Twisted

So yesterday I was doing my wii workout like normal plus I was dealing with my children. I am a big multi-tasker and always have been however it was not the best time to do two things, because as I was doing a running exercise my left ankle went to the right and then back to the left. Yep I managed to twist my ankle. It hurt so bad that it made me nauseous however I did continue my workout. Big mistake, I was in so much pain hours later that I could barely limp around. I have always had issues with my ankles so I know I need to be careful but I have not had a sprained ankle in a while. Now today I am sitting on the couch with my leg up and in a air cast. I am hopefully that it will feel better tomorrow so that I can workout. Today I will be keeping a close eye on the number of calories I eat. Please pray my ankle feels better

Ham and cheese sliders

I have a hard time finding recipes that I will eat and that my husband will eat without complaining. These sandwiches have been all over several blogs and after much time I deiced today was the day to make them. I am not sure what calorie content would be in a regular recipe, how I did modify mine some and then figure the calories out at Sparkrecipes.com. I do have to say that my hubby took one bit and said they were yummy. My kids not like them because of the poppy seeds but they were so good. I did have 3 but the last one I jut atethe bread. Ham is not my favorite thing and I can only handle in small doses. However this recipe could be changed by the different meats you use. I did change up the cheese this time from Swiss(not a fan) to provolone. The original recipe is below, my changes are in parenthesis

Ham and Cheese Sliders-


24 good white dinner rolls( 12 rolls_
24 pieces good honey ham ( 2 pieces per roll of sandwich ham)
24 small slices Swiss cheese ( half a slice of cheese per roll- only used 6 slices)
1/3 cup mayonnaise ( I used lite)
1/3 cup miracle whip (did not use)

Poppy seed sauce (you probably could half this...I had plenty extra)
1 T poppyseeds
1 1/2 T yellow mustard
1 stick butter, melted (only used 4 tbsp)
1 T minced onion (did not use)
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Not a loss but not a gain

So I knew that this week was a struggle regarding my weight loss. I have hit a small plateau. I will over come it and keep on moving however it is frustrating when the weight goes on so easy but takes so long for it to be lost. This is one of the main reasons why people give up on their weight loss. However I am going to keep going and will not give up because I am sick of my spar tire. Also this week I have noticed that my clothes are fitting loser, so while I may not be seeing the scale move I am feeling the inches come off.

Zucchini Pizza Bites

So I have a confession, I don't like pizza, the only time I really want to eat it is when I am craving pizza. However I saw this recipe on one of the many blogs that I visit( not sure which one. These caught my eye becasue I love zucchini and I have some tomato sauce in my refirgartor. These recipes would be could serve as a appietezer. Plus thye are low calorie but high in protein which I always have a hard time eating. SO without further ado here is the simple but yummy recipe.

Zucchini Pizza Bite
4 slices large zucchini 1/4 inch thick
2 tbsp pizza bite
1/4 cup mozzarella

Cut zucchini about 1/4 inch thich. Spry both sides with cookign spray,and season with salt and pepper. Broil or grill about 2 minutes on each side. I would say do it about 3 minutes. Top with sauce and chesse and cook for an addiitonal minute. I have to say that I broiled it for about 3 minutes I think next time I will cook for about 5 minutes to make the cheese a little bit crunchy.

Water, Water, Water- Everywhere

So as part of my weight loss I have been drinking water like crazy, and when I mean crazy I am talking about 12 8 oz glasses a day. I drink 4 of those glasses when I am working out. I have also been cutting out caffeine which has been the hardest thing because I love me some coffee early in the morning. Today I had my first cup of coffee in like 4 days and it gave me a migraine and made me nauseous at the same time. I am hoping to reintroduce one can of soda but I want to wait until after February. I am praying I can make it until March 1st with no caffiene

Refried Bean Chili

I love chili but I have to be careful how I make it because my picky hubby only eats certain things. However I am always on the lookout fir a new chili recipe. This recipe caught my eye because it uses refried beans. I never saw a recipe using these type of beans but oh my goodness I have to say I love this recipe. I also have a litte bit leftover for my lunch tomorrow. This recipe can be found on page 121 of the Better Homes and Garde Biggest Book of Slow Cooker Recipes.

Refried Bean Chili- all my changes will be in quotes
2 pounds ground beef - "1/2 pound hamburger, 1/2 pound ground turkey"
1 cup chopped onion- "did not use"
2 15oz chili beans with chili gravy- " 1 can black beans drained"
1 16 oz jar salsa- " i used 1/4 cup salsa and added diced tomatoes"
1 16 oz can refried beans
1 12 oz can beer or 1 can beef broth
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp ground cumin
2 tbsp lime juice "did not use"

In a large skillet cook beef and onion until meet is brown . Drain off fat.

In a 5-6 qt crockpot place the beef mixture, beans, salsa, refried beans, beer/broth, chili powder and cumin. Cover cook on low 6-8 hour or on high for 3- 4 hours

To serve ladle chili into bowls

Chicken Pot Pie Soup

So I love chicken pot pie however have you ever looked at the back of a chicken pot pie box, there is 550 calories or more per servings and there is 2 servings in a box. However I saw this recipe over at skinnytaste.com for chicken pot pie soup which has everything but the crust but you can add bread if you want. I decided to try my hand at this recipe and all I have to say is yummo. I did change it up a tiny bit but you can find the original over at skinnytaste.com

Chicken Pot Pie Soup

1/4 cup Flour
2 cups water
4 cup lowfat milk
1 large celery, chopped
1/2 onion, chopped
2 chicken bouillons
pepper
Thyme-pinch of
10 oz frozen veggies- I used 16 oz
2 potatoes peeled and cubed- I used small ones
2 pieces of chicken, cooked and diced small
salt

Create a slurry by combining flour and 1/2 c cold water. Set aside
Pour remaining water and milk into a large pot and bring to a boil. Add celery, onion, chicken bouillions, thyme pepper, and frozen veggie, return to a boil, partially cover the pot and simmer on low for 20 minutes. Remove lid add potatoes and chicken and simmer additional 10 minutes. Then add the slurry and stir while adding (soup will thicken). Cook additional 2-3 minutes. Serve.

Week 2 Weigh In

So today I woke up with a mixed bundles of nerves on what my weight would be. This week has a been struggle not only food wise but thought wise. However I think that I ended up having a great week even if I did not lose a million pounds. So without further ado here are this weeks results

This week my wii did not weigh me because I hit the wrong button so I am going off of my scale that I own. It did say 190.4 but since my wii scale rounds up so will I.

I am happy with the amount of weight I lost. Yes it is not 6 pounds like last week however it a good and healthy amount of weight for a one week period. This week should hopefully see me leaving the 190's

Cheesecake and a workout

Now I bet the title caught your eye. Yes I had cheesecake not just any plain cheesecake but cheesecake from the cheesecake factory. Now I know you are thinking "is she kidding me" "is she not dieting"? My answers to both question is yes I am not kidding and yes I am dieting however I am not going to deprive myself for the rest of my life. I knew that we would be going out tonight so today I limited my food in take. I did not get up till 11am, and by then I was ready for coffee not breakfast so I had my coffee and then about 2 pm I had a small salad. We then took the dogs for a walk which was nice. We then went to dinner where I had half of a grilled piece of salmon( other half for lunch) broccoli and asparagus. I did allow myself to have one small piece of bread and then half a piece of fried mac and cheese ( super yummy). Then I got my cheese cake but it was not plain it was a piece of recse peanut butter cake cheesecake, however I only ate half and threw the other half in the trash. The workout you ask was great I got home from dinner not feeling guilty but knew I needed to workout since it was a workout day. I did my regular 33 minutes where I burned 250 calories. Then i did another 14 pictures where I burned 100 calories. I am so happy with myself because I can feel that muscles in my arms are sore but in a good way. Whatever happens with my weigh in I am proud of myself.

Losing It

The last few days at work have been very tough and I had a really hard struggle with my eating habits. I did great both yesterday and today eating wise until I got home. Last night I was so tired, and after working out I did not want to cook so we had chickfila. Then tonight I had a health lunch and then I came home and could not figure out what to make for dinner.So I made the bad decision to order pizza. I did manage to work out for close to 30 minutes and then I had 2 big pieces of stuffed crust pizza and 4 boneless wings. I did not eat garlic bread which is my weakness but I am not a fan of Pizza hut bread. I feel like if I don't get my eating back under control I will not lose the 2 pounds I am hoping to lose.

Getting Discouraged

Will I knew this week was going to be hard just because the second week losing weight is always hard since you lose a good amount of weight the first week. Last night I did my workout and was very pumped up. I did good eating wise, then today I woke feeling like crap so I new it was goign to be a hard day. I did put on a pair of pants that have been tight the last few weeks, however I was able to button them without alot of problem which in the past I had too lay on my bed flat and pray I could button them and then pray I did not have to use the restroom. I was happy about that however I got to work and still was feeling down, had lunch still feeling down, then I came home and was still discouraged. I am still discouraged and I am hoping tomorrow will be better. Today is a rest day but I am hoping to see a weight loss this week.

Breakfast Recipe

SO like I said in the previous post I have a hard time with foods for breakfast. Part of it is that I don't like cereal or oatmeal and like recipes that are hot. However I am so not a morning person even though I get up at 6. However yesterday I made the following recipe for lunch(woke up at 10:30). I have to say it was good but I think i would use less eggs and more salsa. I love salsa. Another good thing about this recipe is that it is a WW recipe. I did not use FF tortillas but even with the recipe was maybe 250-300. Great recipe.

4 Points Per Serving



1 cup egg substitute

1/4 cup shredded reduced-fat cheese (such as Sargento Light Shredded Cheese)

2 (10-inch) fat-free flour tortillas, warmed

1/4 cup salsa



In medium non-stick skillet sprayed with cooking spray, over medium heat, cook egg product, stirring occasionally until set. Divide egg mixture evenly between tortillas; top with cheese and salsa. Fold up tortillas over filling like an envelope. Serve immediately.

Yield: 2 servings

PER SERVING: CALORIES 192 FAT 2g SATURATED FAT 1g SODIUM 640mg CARBOHYDRATE 24g PROTEIN 15g CHOLESTEROL 3mg FIBER 1.0g

My calorie content was higher because my tortillas were 110 calories each.

First weigh in

Man this week has been tough food wise. There were some days I did great and there were a few days when I wanted a big cheeseburger, bag of chips and chocolate. Yet I managed to keep on my diet and only let myself have chocolate one night and then I did a double workout. Last night was really hard on me workout wise because I had a a migraine. Matt motivated me enough to turn it on and keep going however my 20 minute workout took 40 minutes because I was hurting do bad. I did get up this morning and do my workout and my weekly weight in. I was a little nervous but I have to say that I did really well.

Woo hoo I had a 6 pound weight loss and while I know most of it was water weight I will take it. This week I know I will probably only lose a pound but I plan on working hard and keeping my eating in check so that I do lose that one pound. I have been looking for breakfast recipes to help me but I am not a big breakfast eater.
