New Year New Me!!!

I know every year at this time people make resolutions whether it be to lose weight, get out of debt or heck to even find a job in this economy. I have been thinking long and hard what my resolution would be. While I am working on losing the weight I also want to take some me time. As a working mom of 2 and a wife, I rarely have time to just sit back and do something for me. My husband is constantly on me to do something for myself but I either can't or won't. SO this year my goal is to be a little selfish. Nothing big, maybe getting a cup of coffee and get a pedicure or even sitting in a hot bath with no kids. I hope to do something nice for myself each month and hopefully this will motivate me to stay on track with my weight. Sometimes you need to take out of your busy schedule and just breathe.

Today's battle

Today was a pretty good day excpet for the fact that I only got 3 hours of sleep last night so I knew I was going to have to fight to get my workout out in. I did my normal day at work, came home, made supper and then I did the dumbest thing. I gave into my temptation for chocolate. I have been fighting this battle all week and today I gave in.
However I did not let that deter me, I got on my wii did my normal workout routine and then did another 15 or so minutes and while I know that small workout wont kill the 300 caloires in chocolate it did make me feel a little bit better becuase I made the point to workout even though I am worn out. Now time for a semi cold bath and a good book.

Journey to Weight Loss

In 2008 I started my Weight Loss journey. At that time I weighed 230 pounds, which was awful due to my short height of 5'2. My Husband deployed to Iraq in March of 07 and my Goal was to be under 200 before he returned. The deployment only lasted 4 months but I managed to lose 30 pounds with diet and exercise. He then went back to Iraq in November of 2008 and at that time my goal was to get down to 130. By the time he returned in December of 2008 I had gotten down to 136.
However lift happens, we got out of the army,I started working and diet and exercising went out the window. Since he returned 2 years ago I have managed to gain 60+ pounds back. I have never been a big gym person and managed to lose most of my weight by walking.
Last Year I received the Wii for Christmas with the goal of losing weight however that did not happen and the wii has been collecting dust. This year I received the EA personal trainer for Christmas. This program is awesome so because of this I have set a new weight lose goal. I want to be down to 150 by June 1st.
In order for me to do this I am following a strict workout plan on the wii with my trainer. I work out every other night for 30 minutes, take Wednesdays off and the other nights I only do 15 minutes. Right now my first 9 week program is set to be finished
February 26.
My Goal for the first 9 week program is to be down by 18 pounds.

I had my first weigh in Sunday when I weighed 199 :(
This week I have stuck very close to all my eating goals have worked out on schedule and have been cutting caffeine. My weigh in will be posted weekly but I will be updating through out the week with any issues or good things that happen.

Can't wait to see what happens in 2011
